About Communicative Teacher

My name is Timothy Chávez and I have been teaching Spanish since 2011! I am a researcher by nature, so I love to read research and incorporate it into my lesson plans. As a queer educator, my goal is to ensure that my lessons are largely focused on language acquisition research along with social justice and cultural standards. 

I decided to start Communicative Teacher because I had so many ideas and wanted to share with other educators! My first experience providing professional development to teachers on assessments inspired me and helped me realize just how much I love helping other teachers achieve their goals and become stronger World Language educators.
